Rick Kiesewetter is officially brilliant and one of our favourite comedians. Born in Japan then adopted and raised in New Jersey. Rick was a Sergeant in the US Army and then moved to the UK and worked in advertising before starting a career in stand-up and acting in 2010.
He regularly performs at all the top comedy clubs across the UK and Europe and recently toured Dubai opening for Ahmed Ahmed.

Line-ups are booked purely on merit (ie. how funny each act is), with an emphasis on making sure there’s a variety of comedic styles for you to enjoy throughout the show. A spoonful of observational, a sprinkling of one-liners, a pinch of musical, a dollop of the daft… you get the picture. With all the crap going on in the world, Getaway Comedy is an opportunity to escape to laughter for a couple of hours.
Getaway Comedy have been putting on shows for over a decade (previously under the banner of The Stand-Up Club), and have built up a reputation as one of the best run and funniest comedy clubs in the UK.
