About Getaway Comedy
It’s all about the laughs at Getaway Comedy. Expect a delicious mix of playful, unapologetic, dark, punchy and (most importantly) very funny stand-up. Our main aim is to make sure our audiences have a top night out. Line-ups are booked purely on merit (ie. how funny each act is), with an emphasis on making sure there’s a variety of comedic styles for you to enjoy throughout the show. A spoonful of observational, a sprinkling of one-liners, a pinch of musical, a dollop of the daft… you get the picture. With all the crap going on in the world, Getaway Comedy is an opportunity to escape to laughter for a couple of hours.
Getaway Comedy have been putting on shows for over a decade (previously under the banner of The Stand-Up Club), and have built up a reputation as one of the best run and funniest comedy clubs in the UK. We also founded and run the £10,001 British Comedian of the Year competition, with the biggest cash prize in British comedy. With venues across London and the South, check out the nearest venue to you on our Venues Page.
